An afternoon in Orchard.

A late post.

TCC's seafood pasta.
Nice and crunchy soft shell crab! There were also one mussel, a few fish, prawns and clams. If the sauce for the pasta was stronger and thicker it would be perfect for my taste buds!

PAUL's desserts!
Level 3 of Takashimaya
Lemon Meringue if I get the spelling right.
The lemon custard below this egg white cloud thing definitely improved my appetite for more desserts!! As it is a dessert, the sweetness level was good and even better with the tinge of sourness in it. YUM!

Chocolate waffle. Very disappointing. The waffles paled terribly in comparison to the other desserts on the table that day. I would rather spend money on Gelare's, Ice Cube's or Prima Deli's waffles. The waffle was hard! I felt like I was eating biscuits. Quite bad. The only good thing was the chocolate sauce. It tastes like Nutella.

4 flavor tea. Went well with the sweety stuff we ate. Refreshing!

I can't remember the name of this. But the chocolate snapped between the biscuits were dark chocolate. NICE! It wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. It suits you if you can't really tolerate very sweet desserts.

Riders!

Sunday at Rider's with my Rebels!

 Blackstone benedict.

I love the eggs! I love the tomatoes! The combination of the eggs, tomatoes, bacon and the sourdough bread is great! The tomatoes were a little sour, which went well with the eggs! I love yolks which are half done! You can see a few horses walking along the roads while you drive. Quite a sight!
It's quite packed on a Sunday morning, so have to make reservations before heading down. And, I doubt there's straight transport there, unless you drive. Price was a little big high.

This dim sum is not bad too! At Chinatown Food Complex. You have to take the number card and wait for your turn to be called before you place order. They only sell har gao, siew mai, chu chang fen, chicken feet and char shao baos. The queue is quite long, and we waited for almost 30mins before it;s our turn. The har gao and siew mai are great! The prawn was big and fresh, and the skin was just nice. The siew mai is also good! The meat wasn't those paste kind, its like those in lor mai gai. They all tastes fresh!

Weiying's preparation for her blogshop! All the best!

Chuan Wang Fu 川王府

*no photos entry*

I finally finished my lab report!

Had Steamboat at Chuan Wang Fu 川王府 (beside Paya Lebar Methodist Church) with jc clique.

I thought the steamboat was not bad, the meat they offer were extremely thinly sliced. So you just have to put it in and wave it around for a few times and you can eat it. I think it's one of the nicer steamboats I ate! Compared to the 7th storey steamboat which was extremely lousy! (shall write a post on that about their service and food std though it happened 2 weeks ago!)

Back to 川王府, though we did not eat their ma la soup based because some of them cannot eat beef and we cannot mix the food together so we decided to have a two non-spicy soups, which were good too! The variety of food was acceptable, there were mutton, beef, pork, chicken, fish, mussels, intestines and the list goes on. I thought the meat were quite fresh. And they have one cold plate, something with pork, which I liked a lot. And their mango pudding and longan cheng theng was not bad too! Besides, the place was not very stuffy nor was it very cold. It was just right. The waiters/ waitress could be more lively though.

Overall, I thought it is comparable to crystal jade xlb buffet just that this place has no xlb. Paid $22.50 per person, would be cheaper if you don't order drinks.

The parasites!

I'm done drawing the parasites for my LSM 4223 report!

After a test

This was what I had after a CA..

Lai Lai Casual Dining high tea set after gym..
Shou Zhua Bing (with ham)
Can choose from a few toppings. Its actually quite big, which sort of fill up my stomach.
Its roti prata wrapped with eggs and ham. Haha. I thought it was quite nice, though a bit bland. But there's this brown sauce by the side which is very salty, so can dip it and enhance the flavor. If I am not wrong, the brown sauce should be some Japanese sauce used for the takoyaki balls.

Strawberry yoghurt drink.
The high tea set comes with any choice of drink! Super worth it! The set cost $5.50+ and the drink on ala carte alone cost more than that. This set is worth especially if you do not want something very heavy like rice or noodles. They have other sets too, like eggs with hashbrown and sausages.

Baskin Robins! (Green tea, chocolate mint and rocky road)
Dinner with pq and daniel was at Novena, and then headed on to our favorite hideout - Baskin Robins!
Still preferred Korea's because it's way cheaper. lol.

Life as a Life Science undergraduate

you need green tea (or other teas) to keep you awake and concentrate on your studies.

and also to draw these pictures if you are a life science student.

and of course to observe and read your plates!
